Proprietary software. Each program
is designed from the ground up for high productivity. Most tasks
can be accomplished faster and at a lower cost than my competition.

Advantages
Ahead of the Technology Curve. I have an advanced system
available for handling data adjustments. The depth shift nodes
and normalization parameters are stored as part of the data file
and applied to the raw data "on the fly" as needed.
Experienced. I have authored the only comprehensive
paper written on well log normalization. I have completed over
300 normalization/data correction projects in many domestic and
some foreign basins.

Time
Required for Project Completion
On the Cost Estimate and Work Plan, I will indicate
the time required for project completion. This will be based
on the date the client anticipates data will be delivered to
me. Field studies of less than 100 wells and one or two reservoirs
can usually be done in a few weeks. Studies involving 15 reservoirs
and 400 wells may take several months.

Pricing
Policy
Although some items, depth shifting for example, may be priced
by the length of the curves processed, most tasks are done at
my regular consulting rates. The amount of work which I can accomplish
in an hour with my proprietary software is not directly comparable
with the same tasks performed by other firms using other software.
For this reason, most customers prefer a cost estimate for the
entire project.
After I have received enough information on the project, I
work with our client to design a processing program that fits
their needs and budget. It is my policy to respond with a detailed
Cost Estimate and Work Plan via FAX within 48 hours. This
two to six page document lists each task to be performed and
the cost for that task. Also included are comments on alternative
procedures and their costs. The client knows exactly what tasks
I feel are necessary to produce a quality result and their relative
costs. In some cases, a client may decide to omit one of the
tasks or add an additional task.
For clients preferring a Fixed Cost Contract, I list
the assumptions about the data to be dealt with, and provide
a detailed list of methods to be used and the deliverables.
