Daniel E. Shier, Ph.D

Dr. Shier received his BA in Geology from Rice University in 1961 and his Ph. D. in Geology from Florida State University in 1965.

Dr. Shier was employed Shell Oil Company as a geologist and subsequently by Scientific Software Corporation as a geologist and petrophysicist specializing in recalibration of log data. In 1989 Dr. Shier became president of Energy Data Services and started acquiring and enhancing Alaska digital well log data for local operators. Since 2001 this work has continued as a Consultant.
